Product Overview
SPAN-S50 is a premium-grade sulfurized polyacrylonitrile (SPAN) powder engineered specifically for advanced battery research and commercial development. Designed to overcome traditional sulfur cathode limitations—such as polysulfide shuttling and volume expansion—our B35 process grade delivers outstanding electrochemical stability, high electronic conductivity, and uniform particle distribution.
High Specific Capacity
Target sulfur loading of 45–52 wt% bound within a conductive polyacrylonitrile backbone for maximum capacity utilization.

 ⚡Controlled Particle Size
Micronized S50 grade delivers a tightly controlled median diameter (Dv50 = 5.0–10.0 μm) ensuring optimal slurry mixing.

High Chemical Purity
Rigorously monitored for trace metals via ICP-OES to prevent battery degradation (Fe ≤ 100 ppm, Cu, Ni, Cr; 10 ≤ppm).

Amorphous Structure
XRD analysis confirms a broad amorphous halo (24–26° 2θ) without sharp crystalline sulfur peaks, suppressing polysulfide dissolution.

Visual
Representative Appearance: Uniform Black Powder

Applications & Storage
 Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) Batteries: Ideal active cathode material for high-energy-density solid-state and liquid electrolyte Li-S battery development.
 Slurry Formulation: Integrates smoothly into standard NMP/PVDF or aqueous binder systems for pilot-scale and laboratory casting.
 Handling & Storage: Store in a cool, dry place under an inert atmosphere (Nitrogen or Argon recommended) to preserve long-term performance.
